What this site is
This site describes the software factory setup service offered by Software Factory and gives away two free resources: a software factory starter and a factory-ready checklist. By using the site you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the site.
Nothing on this site is an offer or a quote. Prices, scope and timing are agreed in writing for each engagement.
The free starter and checklist
The starter and the checklist are provided as is, free of charge and without any warranty. We do not promise that they are complete, error free or fit for a particular purpose, and we do not promise any result from using them.
You run the starter on your own accounts, in your own repositories and at your own risk. You are responsible for reviewing any code it produces before you merge or deploy it, and for keeping your secrets out of prompts and repositories.
You may use and adapt the starter and the checklist inside your own organisation. You may not resell them or present them as your own product.
Setup engagements
A paid setup is governed by a separate written agreement between you and us. That agreement sets the scope, the price, the schedule, the acceptance criteria and the responsibilities of each side. If anything in these terms conflicts with that agreement, the agreement wins.
A message sent through the contact form or a call booked through the site does not create an engagement.
Provider costs
A software factory runs on accounts you hold with third parties, such as GitHub, GitHub Actions and the AI provider you choose. You open those accounts, accept their terms and pay them directly. Their charges are not part of our price, and we are not responsible for them.
Intellectual property
You own the configuration we deliver into your repositories: workflow files, agent rules, skills and documentation written for your setup. Once the engagement is paid for, you may change it, extend it and keep it without us.
We keep the right to reuse general methods, templates and know-how that are not specific to your code or your business.
The text, design and graphics of this site belong to us. Third-party names and marks, including those of Anthropic, GitHub, Atlassian and ClickUp, belong to their owners and are used here only to describe which tools we work with.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss arising from your use of this site, the starter or the checklist. Liability under a paid engagement is set out in that engagement's written agreement.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of [to be confirmed by the team]. Disputes about them are heard by the courts of the same place.
